AI Capital Flow

The sum of disclosed deal sizes across every Markets & Financials story machine.net has covered in the trailing 30 days — funding rounds, acquisitions, and similar deals where a dollar figure was actually reported. The delta is the day-over-day change in that same total. This is a measure of machine.net’s own coverage, not a comprehensive market total — a real deal that didn’t disclose a size, or one machine.net didn’t cover, isn’t counted.

Why a trailing window, and why only disclosed deals

A single day’s raise or acquisition can be enormous, so a trailing 30-day window smooths out the lumpiness of any one announcement while still staying recent enough to track a real shift in investment activity. Deal sizes are taken exactly as reported in machine.net’s own coverage, with a single clean dollar figure where sources agree — a story whose reported numbers don’t converge on one figure is left out of this total rather than forcing an estimate.

A deal drops out of the window once its story’s publish date falls outside the trailing 30 days — not because the deal stopped mattering, just because this number is specifically a rolling recent-activity read, not a running total.

Computed daily from machine.net’s own published coverage, with no AI model involved in the calculation. See the full Signal methodology for how every other number on the Signal page is calculated.
